NGO conducts free health camp for ASTC employees

Health camp by Arogya Society – The News Mill

A two-day free medical camp was organized at ASTC headquarters in Paribahan Bhawan, Paltan Bazar, Guwahati, on May 18-19.

The camp, organized by Arogya Charitable Medical Seva & Research Society in association with Assam State Transport Corporation, saw participation of around 60 employees of ASTC.

In the health camp, screening and consultation was provided for complete blood count (CBC) which included tests related to total blood count, haemoglobin, DLC, PCV, ESR and platelets count.

Administrative head at Arogya Society, Muhammad Anowar, during the event, explained the importance of CBC tests and the diseases related to CBC to all the employees of ASTC. He addressed all the queries related to blood borne diseases. Anowar also interacted with the employees of ASTC and consulted regarding living a healthy lifestyle.
