A good Samaritan, Hibu is appreciated for his humanitarian assistance through his NGO ‘Helping Hands’, along with his continuous support through Delhi Police.

“Police officer with Golden Heart! Congratulations Shri Robin Hibu, IPS, Spl Commissioner of police, @DelhiPolice, for being conferred with Ati Utkrist Seva Padak. Your service to people of NE in distress is exemplary & you continue to inspire many. Carry on the good work,” Khandu wrote on social media.

Thanking the outpouring of best wishes, Hibu wrote on Facebook: “These heart touching words of encouragement is the source of inspiration for me to do extra social works through Helping Hands NGO beyond my job as IPS officer. We all can make this world a better place to live if you look around in your neighbourhood, offices, villages, roads…where you frequently visit….you would find needy and helpless people gasping for kind words, smile, bit of encouragement, little help whatever we can …. even animals and birds can be loved by your little selfless deeds like – feed grains, rice to birds, keep water at bowl for birds to drink, feed food to stray puppies, and kittens, you can make greener world by planting few saplings of plants in your home, neighbourhood, offices, village premises and nurture it properly. This beautiful world needs Samaritan act by all of us to make paradise on earth.”

“Therefore, I would request you to do a bit as suggested above, it’s not the money it’s your positive attitude which will make our earth paradise. God bless you all,” he added.
