Now, Pasighat-beauty Chum Darang’s national costume winning the internet

If winning the Miss Internet subtitle and being one of the runner-ups at the Miss Asia World isn’t enough; Arunachal-beauty Chum Darang won the hearts of the netizens with her ‘national costume’ at the pan-Asia event in Lebanon.

Posting a picture of hers wearing the national costume, Chum Darang wrote on Facebook: This was my national costume. It doesn’t have much of detailing but it’s so pretty! It represents the Seven Sisters of India; Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura.

“I could have opted for a very good dress, but nothing could have been better than this one. I got a platform to flaunt the rich and diverse side of the country, and I did. My work – an idea which I always wanted to exhibit. And if you see, all the colours together makes the combination of the Indian National flag,” she added.

Way to go girl!
