PA Sangma Fellowship gets Meghalaya cabinet nod

The Meghalaya cabinet has approved the PA Sangma Fellowship for Legal & Policy Research & Training.

Addressing media persons on March 31, chief minister Conrad Sangma said the fellowship programme will be carried out in collaboration with the National Law School of India University (NLSIU).

“The purpose of this fellowship programme is to have students and the graduates and people who are following their graduation and post graduates in National Law School of India, Bangalore to work with the government of India,” he said while informing that a stipend will also be given to them.

Further, through this partnership, capacity building programs will be initiated for law officers of the law department and other departments of the state government, he also said.

The cabinet has also approved the ex-post facto of the amendment to the GST Rules carried out in the years 2018-2021.
