Purabi Dairy

Purabi Dairy has announced increase in retail prices of all its milk variants, including the newly-launched Purabi Gold, by Rs 2 per litre.

Guwahati-based West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Ltd (WAMUL) said that the revision, effective from April 25, is due to the higher input costs like transportation, processing, packaging etc.

“To ensure the much-cherished quality of Purabi milk, while considering the increase in input costs like transportation, processing, packaging etc., WAMUL is constrained to revise the MRP of all its milk variants by Rs 2 per litre (Re 1 per 500ml pouch) all across Assam markets with effect from April 25,” PurabI Dairy said in a statement.

It revised the retail price of all its milk variants, namely, Purabi Standard 500ml, Purabi Smart 500ml, Purabi Smart Plus 500ml and 1000ml, and Purabi Gold 1000ml pouches.

“The marginal revision in MRP will help the dairy cooperative to continue providing top-quality milk to its valued customers besides keeping on supporting the dairy farmers and the milk supply chain in the state,” the statement added.

“Purabi Dairy, on behalf of 20,000+ farmers of Assam, seeks cooperation and continued patronage from all our valued and esteemed customers to support the dairy farmers of the state,” the statement further said.
