In sync with celebrations around the world, Aucto Creation, a Guwahati-based Event and Production House, will organize the 10th edition of “In Rhythm with the World” the annual ‘World Music Day’ celebration by Aucto Creation. The event will be held on June 21 at the GMCH Auditorium premises. The announcement was made at the Guwahati Press Club today by Rajib Kalita, founder of Aucto Creation. Also present on the occasion were Rajib Phukon, cultural communicator of Aucto Creation and senior musician Pankaj Sharmah.

Rajib Kalita says: “Aucto Creation conceived to introduce ‘World Music Day’ (WMD) celebrations for the first time in North East region in 2007. We felt that a global celebration like this will help bring together various artistes from vivid genres of music and create a new sense of belonging and bonding across the music fraternity. And it did… Due to the immense support from a number of senior artistes and all our patrons, over the years, this WMD celebration, has also offered a platform for upcoming talents of this region, to showcase their latent musical inclinations and hone their talents for the national and international music arena.”

“10 years is a long journey; while there were innumerable challenges faced to continue with the same momentum year after year, the support from our patrons and pressure to keep delivering better and promoting quality musicians from our region kept us going. Today, as we look back, we cannot but profusely thank our patrons and members for helping us sail through those hard times. It is a proud moment to be sharing our ‘decade-long’ journey with you all”, he added.

Throughout the years, the event has been an active platform for the convergence of various musical genres; be it traditional, folk, classical, blues, jazz, neo, rock, pop, funk etc, on one platform; so that artistes can connect with and understand each other for the betterment of music as a whole. The consistency of this event in all these years has been possible with the intense support from the musicians locally, nationally and internationally, and certainly by the presence of eminent personalities from various fields. Aucto Creation’s WMD celebration in Guwahati witnesses various musicians/artists coming together under one roof to celebrate music in its purest form.
