Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal felicitated HSLC examination topper Raktim Bhuyan in Guwahati on May 28.

Raktim Bhuyan, a student of Moonlit High School in Tezpur secured an aggregate mark of 593 and secured the top rank in the recently declared results.

Sonowal congratulated Raktim and felicitated him with a gamocha. Sonowal took note of Raktim’s grit and resolve and hailed his achievement with high degree of admiration. He also wished Raktim all luck for his future studies.

Sonowal handed out a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to Raktim and congratulated his parents Bharat Bhuyan and Baby Bhuyan and his teachers for their efforts in enabling Raktim to top the rank holders’ list.

The results of High School Leaving Certificate examination, conducted by SEBA, were declared on May 25. More than 60,000 students secured first division marks.
