Daily life in Guwahati is affected badly due to the water logging after continuous rainfall

Schools both government and private in Kamrup Metro are advised to remain shut on June 15 due to floods by the district administration. It came following the weather forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department.

Indian Meteorological Department has forecast incessant rainfall for June 15. It will not be applicable for the conduct of examinations which have already been scheduled.

On June 14, due to continuous rainfall throughout the day, most of the areas of the Kamrup Metro district have been submerged by flood water which threw the normal life out of gear.

Due to the rain, landslides occurred in several places in and around Guwahati which led to the death of four persons in the Boragaon area in the wee hours on June 14.
