National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), Chennai organised a one-day district level seminar and awareness programme on rehabilitation management for children with disabilities at GEA National College in Guwahati on March 30.

The event was organized in collaboration with Rehabilitation Training and Research Organisation (RTRO), Rehabari.

Chief guest Utpal Das, deputy director of cultural affairs along with Arup Das, retired chief manager of SBI; Manjunath, NIEPMD Chennai; Sunil Kumar Ram, HoD occupational therapist, CRC; Manshi Garg, assistant professor GEA National College and Purabi Das, chief adviser RTRO attended the programme.

Minakshi Changmai, secretary RTRO explained the aim and objective of the seminar which is to train and educate the rehab professionals about childhood disabilities and their management works so that they can help those persons with physically and mentally challenged and to maximum utilisation of rehabilitation services among disabled.

More than 100 participants were present in the seminar.
