Senior tennis tourney at Duliajan from Feb 18

The first edition of the Duliajan Club All Assam Prize Money Senior Tennis Tournament to be organised by Duliajan Club under the aegis of All Assam Tennis Association will be held at the club courts in Duliajan in Dibrugarh district in Assam from February 18 to 20.

The tournament is being organised for senior gentlemen doubles (above 35, 45 and 50 years) and ladies doubles (above 35 years only). The senior gentlemen doubles (above 35, 45 and 50 years) categories’ winners will receive a cash award of Rs 10,000 and finalist will receive Rs 7,000 and in the ladies doubles (above 35 years) category winner will receive Rs 5,000 and finalist will receive Rs 3,000 respectively, the organisers said.

Signing-in of the Duliajan tournament will be held on February 17 at 6.00 pm. All participants will have to produce their COVID-19 double vaccination certificate along with their age proof certificate respectively.

For smooth conduct of the tournament an organising committee has been formed with Prasanta Borkakoty as chief patron, Gauranga Borgohain as chairman, Ranjan Mahanta as president, Pranjal Protim Neog as organising secretary, Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika as tournament director and Chandra Sekhar Mohanty as chief referee.

Interested participants may send their entries to the chief referee on or before February 16.
