Sikkim records 47 new COVID-19 positive cases

Sikkim registered 47 new COVID-19 positive cases in the past 24 hours on December 5.

State information, education and communication officer at the Health Department, Sonam Bhutia said in Gangtok on December 5 that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state climbed to 5147.

The official informed that the active cases in the state stands at 358.

Of the total cases so far, a total of 4,587 have been discharged on recovery, while the fatality count stands at 112, he said.
