At least six people died and a few others were injured when a car collided with a stationery pick-up truck on their way to Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh on February 18 evening.

According to reports, the car with eight passengers onboard was returning from a marriage party and was on way to Namsai when it hit a stationary pick-up truck and fell into a nearby ditch killing at least six persons, including two minors.

The accident took place near Poi Pee Mau ground in Namsai. Local reports said that two adults and two minors were found dead inside the car while the other two succumbed to their injuries while on their way to the District Hospital at Namsai.
