Six people including four children killed in lightning in Assam

Six people, including four children, were killed and two other minors were injured in thunderstorm and lightning strike in Assam’s Cachar and Karimganj districts.

According to the police, five persons of a family, including four children, were killed when lightning struck their home in Ramkrishna Nagar of Karimganj district on the evening of June 12.

Two seriously injured children have been admitted to the Karimganj Civil Hospital.

In another incident, a 62-year-old man was killed by lightning on June 12 while he was working in his paddy field in Cachar district of Assam.
