Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal who attended the swearing-in-ceremony of the new coalition government of Nagaland and congratulated the new chief minister Neiphiu Rio and his council of ministers who were administered oath of office and secrecy at a function held at Khuochiezie local ground in Kohima on Thursday.

It may be noted that Neiphiu Rio of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) along with other ministers from the coalition partners took oath today. Congratulating the new Nagaland CM, Sonowal expressed hope that the new government would fulfil the aims and aspirations of the people of the state. He also said, “I hope both Assam and Nagaland governments will work in tandem to bolster development of both the states and advance the mutual interests for the benefit of all sections of the people”.
