Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal has called for an awareness movement for conserving oil and gas products saying that every effort of conservation is intrinsically associated with national development.

Inaugurating Saksham-2017, an oil and gas conservation mass awareness campaign, at Pragjyotish ITA Centre, Machkhowa in Guwahati, the Assam chief minister gave a clarion call and urged upon everybody especially the students’ community to take a proactive step in generating awareness for conserving oil and gas products.

Organised by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) in association with other oil and gas PSUs under the aegis of the petroleum and natural gas ministry, the month-long awareness campaign would adequately take several steps for generating awareness towards conservation efforts.
