Sonowal inaugurates 9th National Roll Ball Championship in Guwahati

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal set the ball rolling when he inaugurated the 9th Mini (U-11) National Roll Ball Championship at Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.

Inaugurating the under-11 championship, the chief minister said that in order to reach the zenith of success in sports one has to work hard. Moreover, one needs to be disciplined and dedicated and needs to pursue his or her vocation with utmost dedication.

Sports competitions help in honing talents of the budding sportsman. Moreover, they also help in inculcating zeal and dedication necessary for being a good player. Parents and teachers have a great role in helping the students in inculcating and nurturing love for sports and make them their career.

Sonowal said that Roll Ball has its origin in India and then it went on to become popular across the globe. He thanked Raju Dave for popularising Roll Ball in the country.
