Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on July 4 went on a sudden visit to a portion of NH 37 at Chaulkhowa and Naliapool in Dibrugarh where huge crater was created causing inconvenience to the movement of traffic.

In strong words, the chief minister directed the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to repair the affected portion of the national highway within 30 hours.

The chief minister was seen interacting with the local people taking into consideration the trouble of the commuters.

Sonowal also asked DC Dibrugarh Laya Madduri to inspect the works and ensure its early completion. MLA Rituparna Baruah was also present with the chief minister during inspection.
