Hills Cement Company Ltd. unveiled its newest offering under the Taj Cement brand in presence of a strong 300+ dealers’ network spread across the Northeast and North Bengal on the occasion of the company’s Annual Dealer’s Conference at Hotel Radisson Blu, Guwahati on Friday.

Targeting the premium segment, the new TAJ DHALAI+ cement variant, launched on Friday, is premium grey cement with waterproof packaging specially made for foundation and roof castings that will provide additional strength to construction. The product is placed at the same price range as of national and major regional brands, thereby aiming to give a tough competition in the market segment.

Taj Cement, also unveiled a specially developed Mobile Application & Technical Van for its dealers and customers on the occasion. A first of its kind such initiative in the Northeast, the Android application will help the dealers to place orders directly with the company. Also, the app will enable dealers to view their live data, make hassle-free transactions and ensure increased transparency.

“We at Taj Cement aim to provide best facility to increase the ease of doing business. The new premium product is based on our deep research and is an offering we are proud at,” said Gholam Basit, Head of Sales and Marketing at Hills Cement Company Ltd.

Aiming to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India and Make in India initiatives, the Taj Cement spokesperson added that by offering the first-in-Northeast mobile application, Taj Cement wishes to connect the dealers across the region and help link them to the prime minister’s dream initiative. “The mobile application will help the dealers to directly connect with us for orders of any quantity with just a few taps. This will reduce transaction time and also will enable us to distribute the consignment in a timely manner. Additionally, increased transparency achieved through the initiative will help us communicate better with our customers. They now can access their live data with the company, like outstanding as on date/ balances/ credit limits, schemes etc. and call for onsite technical assistance through the use of the app,” said Gholam Basit, Head of Sales and Marketing at Hills Cement Company Ltd. Basit added that the mobile app is a step towards digitalising India wherein the cement dealers from entire Northeast India and North Bengal would be integrated into the company’s network.
