Tamil Nadu beauty Anukreethy Vas was crowned the Femina Miss India 2018 at the finale of the pageant on Tuesday night.
Femina Miss India 2018 Anukreethy Vas will now represent India at the Miss World. She was crowned by the outgoing Miss India and reigning Miss World Manushi Chhillar at the star-studded grand finale on Tuesday night in Mumbai at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium.
The 19-year-old is pursuing BA in French from Chennai’s Loyola College to become a translator. Raised by a single mother, the just-crowned Miss India World 2018 wishes to become a supermodel as she loves facing the camera.
Meenakshi Chaudhary from Haryana became the first runner up while Shreya Kamavarapu from Andhra Pradesh was the second runner up.
Miss Tamil Nadu Anukreethy Vas also won Beauty with a Purpose subtitle while Miss Andhra Pradesh Shreya K Rao won Miss Multimedia subtitle.
Participants proved their aptitude by facing some of the tricky questions from the judges’ panel which was studded with some of the iconic personalities like actor Bobby Deol, Kunal Kapoor, Malaika Arora, fashion designer Gaurav Gupta and cricketer Irfan Pathan, along with Manushi.
