Guwahati-based digital media start-up, The News Mill, on September 9 announced renaming of the popular Facebook page ‘The Voice of North East India’ as part of its rebranding initiatives.
The digital media start-up, which runs the popular The Voice of North East India Facebook page, will rebrand it under the same name.
“As they say ‘change is constant’. The team at The News Mill has decided to rebrand itself. As part of this initiative, very soon, we will rebrand the Voice of North East India Facebook page as The News Mill. While we change for good, we do realise our responsibilities towards the region and will always be proud to be known as one of the first Digital News Media from the region,” a statement from the company said.
The Voice of North East India is a popular Facebook page run by Heynortheast Media Private Limited, the parent company of The News Mill.
The popular page, with a community of more than 3.5 lakh people, has been one of the strongest mouthpiece for the region over the years.
“Through ups and downs, The News Mill and The Voice of North East India have tried to update you with news and current affairs from the region. Backed by bootstrapped funds and the absolute desire to promote the region, we have reached this far,” the company statement said.
Among other initiatives, the refreshed brand aims to give major impetus to untold stories from the Northeast India region.
