The Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati is ready to host an India versus West Indies ODI on October 21.

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on October 9 said that all the formalities for the one-day match are complete and preparations are on full swing to organise the first-ever ODI match at the Barsapara cricket stadium.

Tickets for the match will be available online at BookMyShow from October 11.

The Assam Cricket Association informed that a total of 37,000 tickets will be released for general public while 3,090 complementary passes will be issued for various individuals. Provision for corporate box will be available at various stands. A 160-seat media box at the northern stand is ready to accommodate international, national and local media.

Addressing a press conference, ACA acting president Nilay Dutta said, “We are trying to organise the forthcoming ODI in an exemplary manner so that in the coming days we can claim for hosting a Test match.”

ACA secretary Pradip Buragohain informed that both the teams and the officials of the BCCI will reach Guwahati on October 17. The teams will have their practice sessions during all three days before the match.

“The minimum rate of tickets will be Rs 500 for students while the maximum rate will be Rs 4500 including all taxes,” an ACA spokesperson said. For the general public, the ticket rates start from Rs 1250.
