Top leader of UPRF-Martin group killed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong

A top leader of United Peoples’ Revolutionary Front (UPRF-Martin group) was reportedly shot in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.

The deceased UPRF-M leader was identified as Manggin Kuki alias Verapan Kuki of Lhangnom village.

According to the reports, the top leader of the Kuki militant outfit was killed during clash between two groups of the outfit.

Sources said that, Manggin Kuki was shot by his own cadres in the early morning on July 11 in a dense forest area near Bokajan in the hill district.

His body has been transported to Diphu Civil Hospital for postmortem.
