UK records highest daily COVID-related death toll since March

Two more Border Security Force (BSF) troopers tested COVID-19 positive in Tripura on May 11 taking the total count of active cases in the state to 150.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed that on May 11, the state conducted tests of 750 people in Dhalai district out of which two BSF officials were found COVID-19 positive.

“In a massive #COVID19 test among 750 civilian and BSF in Dhalai district today, two BSF officials were found COVID-19 positive. All patients are responding well to the treatment. With the blessings of Mata Tripurasundari soon our state will be Corona free,” he informed.

The BSF units at Ambassa in Dhalai district were worst affected as the now-defined containment zone account for the most number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

With the report of two fresh cases on May 11, the number of total COVID-19 cases in Tripura went up to 154. Out of these, two cases each were recovered and migrated to other centres.
