Tripura government has distributed 400 laptops among academic leaders, academic coordinators, district education officers, inspectorate of schools and block resource centres as part of Comprehensive Learning Program (CLP) of the state government under Nutan Disha on September 25.

Education minister Ratan Lal Nath said that these laptops have been provided for building up the Education Intelligence System (EIS) for monitoring the activities and performances of students as well as to guide the teachers by the experts to support the quality of education in the state.

Nath said that the state government in its endeavour to make the state an education hub for the rest of the country and neighbouring Bangladesh and for this it needs quality education infrastructure for basic and secondary level. Besides, introducing NCERT curriculum and qualified teachers, the state government had trained about 40,000 existing teachers.

“The entire educational ambiance of the state has improved with the multi-phased strategies and now time has come to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to ensure quality education in the state and distribution of laptops are a part of it,” Nath said.
