Sixteen new COVID-19 cases were reported from 86th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura on May 10.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed that among the newly tested positive cases includes one official of the BSF, six females and nine children.

With this, the total number of cases in Tripura went up to 152 with 148 of them active while two each were recovered and transferred out of the state.

Deb informed that the state is conducting maximum number of tests. He added that no civilian was tested positive in Dhalai district of the state.

“Alert! 16 persons found #COVID19 positive in Tripura from 86th-Bn #BSF (Official:1, Female:6, Children: 9). We are conducting max number of tests. 75 samples from 3rd-Bn BSF tested but all reports are negative,” he tweeted.
