Tunisia Film Festival in Imphal Porto Farina – The News Mill

Imphal is set to play host to a two-day Tunisia Film Festival on May 25 and 26 where six contemporary award-winning feature films from the North African country will be showcased.

The Tunisia Film Festival will be screened at the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) Auditorium in Imphal. The film festival is being jointly organised by the Federation of Film Societies of India and the Film Society of Manipur with the support of the Tunisian Embassy in New Delhi and the MSFDS.

The films to be screened on the first day include Porto Farina (director: Ibrahim Letaief), Mostafa (director: Nidhal Chatt), and Shattered Waves (director: Habib Nestiri).

The films to be screened on the second day include Whispering Sands (director: Nacer Khmir), Visit (director: Nawfel Saheb Ettabaa), and Sweet Smell of Spring (director: Ferid Boughedir). All the films have English subtitles.

The Federation of Film Societies of India is organising the Tunisian Film Festival at different cities of the country which includes Guwahati, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Imphal, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pondicherry, Madurai, Thiruvanathapuram, Kochi, Thrissur and some other places to propagate the film culture of Tunisia.
