Two persons died of COVID-19 related complications in Manipur on August 22. A 34-year-old man from Churachandpur at UNACCO and a 70-year-old woman from Thoubal expired at JNIMS due to COVID-19 and other co-morbid conditions.

The cumulative number of deaths in the state went up to 22, a state health department report said.

Manipur now has reported 5132 COVID-19 cases out of which 1655 are active cases. As many as 3455 recovered from the disease in the state.

During the last 24 hours, 83 new cases were detected while 194 persons were found negative and were discharged from the COVID care facilities.
