UM motorcycles rides in new variants in Guwahati
UM Lohia Two Wheelers, the Indian arm of the American motorcycle maker, UM International LLC, on Tuesday introduced brand new Renegade Commando Classic and Renegade Commando Mojave variants in Guwahati.
The new Renegade Commando Mojave and Renegade Commando Classic are powered by liquid-cooled, single cylinder, 4 strokes, 4 valves and spark ignition.
Speaking at the launch, senior vice president at UM India, Sunil Singh, said, “There is a demand for such bikes in India. The customers are aware and ready to experiment. With the launch of Renegade Commando Classic and Mojave, we are looking forward to attract young leaders. We are committed in setting a new benchmark in providing excellence in our products and service. Renegade Commando Classic and Renegade Commando Mojave will surely capture up-country customers with a progressive mindset.”
Speaking about the biking scene in the region, CEO at Luit UM Guwahati, Kishor Jain said that there is an increasing popularity of biking in the state. “We launched our showroom earlier this year, and till now we have delivered more than 150 bikes and are full with bookings for the next 3 months. The reason for launching the showroom was largely driven by the untapped market in this segment in the region. We are sure the new bikes will receive a very good response from the bike lovers in Guwahati,” he said.
The Renegade Commando Classic was appreciated when it was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is a USA originated cruiser powered by a 279.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled EFI engine with responsive 4 stroke-4 valve, spark ignition. The motorcycle stands out with high gloss metallic 2 tone paint job.
UM also introduced its Renegade Commando Mojave variant, which was inspired from The Mojave desert – North America’s largest and driest desert. Mojave will also share the same engine as the Renegade Classic but have new style and colour options.
