Guwahati’s favourite north Indian restaurant, Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba, is hosting a special Undivided Punjab Food Festival from November 13 onwards. Available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, the food festival offers a variety of dishes from the erstwhile Undivided Punjab.

Announcing the festival on Tuesday, the spokesperson of the restaurant said, “Punjabi cuisine is one of the most distinct and popular Indian cuisines and comes from the region of Punjab situated partially in India and Pakistan. It offers a vast variety of delectable and exotic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that are prepared with varied traditional culinary styles. It is also known for its rich, buttery flavours along with the extensive vegetarian and Non vegetarian. At Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba, we are bringing 3 most distinctive styles of cooking from the streets of erstwhile Punjab, which surely will leave you asking for more.”

During the Undivided Punjab food festival at Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba, one can enjoy the experience of Lahore’s Anarkali Market and its ‘Taka Tak’ cooking style. The menu includes Mix Boti Taka Tak, Pota Kaleji Tata Tak and Mix Subz Taka Tak.

Also, the festival brings the experience of Peshawar’s unique Charsi Karahi through Chicken Tikka Karahi and Paneer Tikka Karahi.

For the food lovers of the region, Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba brings the magic from Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s kitchen where historical Chef Beliram created this delicacy which was named as ‘Gosht Beliram’. The dish goes well with Khamiri roti which will also be available during the festival.
