Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal have donated Rs 1 lakh for the fire victims of Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap and Longding districts.

The amount was received by Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner Somcha Lowang, who was on her way to Tirap district to meet the victims and handover the amount of Rs 2,06,809 received from voluntary donations organised by district administration in collaboration with Apatani Students’ Union.

Earlier, producer of Hindi film ‘Bhediya’, Pooja Vijan, also contributed a sum of Rs 51,000 for the fire victims.

Varun Dhawan has been camping at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh since February, shooting for his highly-anticipated horror comedy drama ‘Bhediya’.

At least two persons, including a minor, were charred to death after a massive fire engulfed over 110 houses in a remote village in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on March 18, police said.

The fire occurred around 11 am at Longliang village under Lazu circle, 45 km away from the district headquarters Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh.
