A video showing passengers onboard a special train to Mizoram giving away their food to flood victims in Assam who were staying near the rail tracks, has gone viral on the social media.

The video was widely shared by the netizens, praising the selfless attitude of the train passengers who tried to help the flood victims – in whichever way they can while the train kept moving.

The viral video was shared by Emanuel Ralte on Facebook which was later tweeted by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga. “The following viral WhatsApp video is all about stranded Mizos on their way from Bangalore sharing their eatables along the railway track for flood affected people on their way to #Mizoram and, it just made my day!” the chief minister tweeted along with a quote from the Bible.

The special train was carrying stranded people from the Northeast state during the nationwide lockdown.

While several instances came to light recently when railway passengers were not getting enough food and water supply during their travel; the generosity shown by the passengers in the viral video has earned praise from many.
