Travelling within Guwahati city became cheaper and easier from this January as city-based start-up Wify Cab started their trial run. Passengers can now travel within Guwahati city with Wify Cab which promises zero peak-time charge among other features.

“Since January first week, we have started our trial run. Customers can now download the Wify Cab App from Google Playstore and use that for booking cabs within Guwahati. The service is on a trial run and we are getting good reviews. We are strengthening the app and should be able to launch very soon,” said Kristi Sikha, co-founder at Wify Cab.

The Guwahati-based startup, which raised a seed fund of around Rs 1.2 crore, will launch its full services with more than 4,000 cars.

Earlier in September last year, Aspiring Ideas And Future Tech Solutions unveiled the brand Wify Cab, in presence of Miss India 2016 Priyadarshini Chatterjee in Guwahati.

Speaking on the occasion, Miss India 2016 Priyadarshini Chatterjee has said that she was happy to see a Guwahati startup working closely to solve the daily problems of commuters across the country. “With this launch, I hope that the destinations within the city will no longer seem far apart. Guwahati needed a modern urban transport system and Wify Cab aims to fill this void. I, being from Guwahati, am happy to be a part of this journey,” Miss India 2016 Priyadarshini Chatterjee had said during the unveiling of the brand in Guwahati last September.
