The first Guwahati Theatre Festival is set to premiere on September 14 with country’s top theatre and film personalities like Kalki Koechlin, Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak and Rajat Kapoor presenting their plays at the festival at ITA Machkhowa.
Organised by Guwahati’s leading English weekly, G Plus, in association with Ballantine’s, the 5-day festival will also witness actors like Neil Bhoopalam, Rajit Kapur, Vrajesh Hirjee, Achint Kaur, Sadiya Siddiqui, Dolly Thakore, Shernaz Patel, etc performing in the city. The festival will bring together premium plays like Hamlet – The Clown Prince, The Living Room, 2 to Tango 3 to Jive, The Truth of Womanhood and One on One – all from leading theatre production houses of Mumbai.
