Campaigning for the third and final phase of polling in the Assam assembly elections ended on April 4.

The third and final phase of polling will be held in 40 constituencies on April 6. As many as 337 candidates are in the fray in the last phase of elections in Assam.

On April 4, both ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies and the opposition grand alliance led by the Congress conducted massive campaigns to reach out to the voters.

For NDA, Union home minister Amit Shah held multiple election rallies along with chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal who addressed six rallies to cover as many constituencies as possible.

The grand alliance also intensified its efforts on the last day of the campaigning.
