Traffic on NH-10, considered the lifeline of Sikkim, has been obstructed due to rain and landslide, officials said on October 9.
Vehicles of travellers to Sikkim were diverted to other routes, officials said.
Those going to Bagdogra airport and New Jalpaiguri in nearby West Bengal to catch flight and train, have been diverted via Pakyong and other routes.
Landslides also damaged the road on 19th Mile.
The authorities have said work was on to repair the damage.
