A photograph of an MLA in Arunachal Pradesh, crossing a river sitting in the bucket of a JCB earth-mover, has gone viral on the social media.

Lawmaker Jikke Tako, representing Tali assembly constituency in Arunachal Pradesh, was seen travelling in the earth-mover along with three of this ‘friends’ in a photograph which has now gone viral.

According to reports, the photograph was taken on October 1 when the lawmaker was inspecting a road in his assembly constituency.

Local media reports quoting Tako said that after being elected as a first-time MLA in 2019, he had been trying to build roads and bring other development projects in his constituency. He used the JCB to cross the Kumey river as there was no other option.

“I inspected the under-construction bridge over Kumey river and hope that it is completed soon for traffic movement and connectivity to the Tali circle,” he was quoted as saying by Arunachal Front on October 7.

“I am trying to develop in my constituency. ADC office, police station, mobile tower, several PMGSY and other roads connecting several villages with Tali and Pipsorang circle, are also under construction,” he added.
