Arunachal’s Chum Darang runner-up at Miss Asia World, wins Miss Internet

Chum Darang from Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh made the country proud as she became one of the runner’s up at the Miss Asia World 2017 beauty pageant held at in Lebanon on May 20.

The Pasighat-beauty got the highest number of votes and won the Miss Internet subtitle during the event. Thanking her fans and well wishers, Chum Darang in a heartfelt post on Facebook said that he is proud that she didn’t let her country’s name go unnoticed at the beauty pageant.

“Not the title but a runner up! And I am more than happy at least I didn’t let my country’s name go unnoticed. And about the secondary title that I got, it was because of you all, thank you so much for voting. It was an honour representing my country and the journey of Miss Asia World has been an amazing one. Thank you Lebanon. Thank you memory makers!,” she wrote.

Setting course for the beauty pageant, Chum Darang had said, “It’s a proud feeling for me, representing India at Miss Asia World 2017. To be a ‘Miss India’ was always a dream, and today, I am one. Keep me in your prayers dear well wishers…”

Born in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, Chum Darang is proud that she represented India at the Miss Asia World 2017.
