A new football academy is coming up in Guwahati under Assam Rhino Football Club (ARFC) as the club completed 10 years of its existence.

On this occasion Proclivity Sports and Recreation Private Limited will launch its non-residential football academy in Khanapara under Assam Rhino Football Academy, said Ranajit Mahanta of ARFC.

The ARFC has partnered Perfect football, a New Delhi based company for their strategic advice in this project. As part of this partnership, Perfect Football has appointed Navarro Penalver Mario (UEFA B License) from Sabadell FC to kick-start the academy in Guwahati.

The academy will cater age group starting from 8 years to 24 years both boys and girls.

“Our partnerships will open doors for our players to play in Spain, Delhi and Rajasthan. As a part of the project coach education is our prime motive, we will conduct coaching seminar from February 7 to 11 in Guwahati under Mario,” said Mahanta.

Interested coaches can apply in our office Frolic Sports Arena in Panjabari. The ARFC has adopted few football coaching centres under its umbrella.

“Our priority will be to encourage the girls to play football. We are sending a team of eight girls to Mumbai for Slum Soccer Tournament in February 2018,” added Mahanta.

This tournament is for underprivileged boys and girls and the winning team will represent India in Homeless World Cup 2018.
