Biren Singh appeals to people to support government in taking up new projects

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on September 9 made a call to make a collective effort to bring a positive change and overall development in Chandel district.

The chief minister was speaking during a ceremony of widening and strengthening of two-laning of Pallel to Chandel road through video conferencing on September 9.

Singh said that the significance of the ceremony is to convey the message to the people that the government is working for the welfare of its people. He appealed to the people of the district to cooperate and support the developmental works being undertaken in the district. He advised the construction company to compete the work within one year and maintain quality control in the construction of the project.

The chief minister also announced that the long awaited Chandel district sports stadium/complex would be inaugurated soon.

Mentioning that the BJP-led government has undertaken various developmental works in the state, he assured that the government will continue to work for the welfare of the people.

Citing various developmental projects, Singh said that most projects including women markets constructed in various hills districts were completed before stipulated time.
