Siliguri Police on August 17 arrested a couple and seized about 285 grams of brown sugar from them, along with their two-wheeler and Rs 69,000 in cash.
The arrest was made near Matigara while the couple was racing past to avoid police naka checking.
The narcotics were from a Malda consignment, police said.
