The full team of Election Commission of India (ECI), led by chief election commissioner Sunil Arora, is on a three-day visit to Assam from January 18 to review poll preparedness in the state.
During the visit, the team is holding separate meetings with chief secretary, home secretary, DGP and other senior officials of the state.
The chief electoral officer and police nodal officer of Assam, leaders of political parties and election-related central and state regulatory authorities will also meet the team.
The CEC and his delegation will also interact with the district election officers and SPs of the state, and address a press conference on the concluding day of the visit.
Assembly elections in the state are due in April-May.
