Four more patients died of COVID-19 in Meghalaya on November 12, taking the fatality count in the state due to the disease to 98.

Director of Health Services (MI) Aman War informed that 144 fresh cases were detected in the state in the last 24 hours taking the active case tally to 1,045.

War added that 56 patients recovered from the disease and were released from COVID Care Centres on November 12. With this, the number of recovered cases in the state went up to 9368.

Meghalaya has so far registered 10,511 COVID-19 cases, including 1045 active, 98 deaths and 9,368 recoveries.

Till date, 2.17 lakh persons were tested for COVID-19 infection in the state.
