Her&Now online conclave for women entrepreneurs

NGO working in the field of women entrepreneurship and empowerment, Dhriiti, in collaboration with German government agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is organizing a four-day Her&Now conclave for women entrepreneurs to be held online from June 23-26.

As a follow-on to the structured incubation and acceleration programme for women entrepreneurs through Project Her&Now, the conclave is a step forward to empower women entrepreneurs and decision makers. “The conclave aims to bring together thought leaders from across sectors to talk to women entrepreneurs from the Northeast region and to re-energize their entrepreneurial journey,” a statement from the NGO said.

Eminent speakers from the industry, financial eco-system, civil society and academia will take part in the programme to help the women entrepreneurs and bring forth a realistic understanding of women entrepreneurship space in the post-COVID new normal.

In partnership with MoSDE and supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Project Her&Now aims to improve the overall framework conditions for women-led businesses in India. Her&Now and Dhriiti looks to provide dedicated incubation and acceleration programmes 180 women entrepreneurs from across Northeast region by 2021.  The project is also being implemented in Rajasthan and Telangana.

For its Cohort 2.0, it has recently started the application process to the second batch of Project Her&Now for Northeast India. As part of the first batch, 80 women entrepreneurs from the Northeast region were selected and supported through the programme to equip themselves to build on their business ideas, grow and scale their ventures.

Over the course of the programme, the entrepreneurs were provide the opportunity to learn from mentors and industry experts through a series of capacity building sessions, one-on-one mentoring and customised support, peer connect and support community.
