As a mark of solidarity to the flood affected people of Assam, the Jharkhand government led by chief minister Raghubar Das, contributed Rs 5 crore to Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on September 7.

Jharkhand social welfare, women and child development minister Louis Marandi and health minister Ramchandra Chandravansi handed over the cheque on behalf of the government to Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday evening at Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.

The ministers also conveyed Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das’s goodwill message to Sonowal and lauded government’s efforts in dealing with recent waves of floods in the state.

The Assam chief minister also expressed his gratitude to the Jharkhand government for sympathising with the people of Assam at this time of crisis.
