Nagaland reports 7 new COVID-19 cases; tally reaches 25

Seven new COVID-19 cases were detected in Nagaland in the morning on May 29, taking the total tally in the state to 25 cases.

State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed about the new cases through Twitter.

All the patients returned from Chennai recently. Out of the seven new cases, Kohima reported four, Dimapur reported two while Tuensang reported a case of COVID-19.

“5 more tested positive of COVID19. 1 at Dimapur and 4 at Kohima. All returnees from Chennai. Nagaland stand at 25 as at 7:20 am of 29/05/2020,” the health minister Tweeted.

An hour before, the minister had informed of two cases from Dimapur and Tuensang. “Two more tested Positive for COVID19. Both are returnees from Chennai. 1 from Dimapur and 1 from Tuensang. Now, we have 20 active cases,” he had tweeted.

Nagaland has detected a number of cases after the nationwide lockdown was eased and stranded people from across the country started returning to the state.
