Retail chain Shoppers Stop formally announced its foray into the Northeast as they opened their flagship store in Guwahati on June 7. The premier fashion and beauty destination opened its first store in Guwahati at the newly inaugurated City Center Mall.
This is the 84th store of Shoppers Stop expanding its footprint to 40 cities across the country. The launch celebration was attended by shopaholics, musical bands along with renowned Assamese actress Barsha Rani Bishaya.
Taking the celebration a notch higher, Shoppers Stop hosted the Sounds of Guwahati event for the budding singers of the region. During the last one month, Shoppers Stop auditioned and selected 10 singers to be a part of the Sounds of Guwahati event which coincided with the formal launch.
Barsha Rani Bishaya congratulated and felicitated the artists during the event. While shopping at the new store, Barsha Rani Bishaya commented, “I am excited with the entry of Shoppers Stop in Guwahati. Speaking on the occasion, Uma Talreja, Customer Care Associate, Chief of Marketing & Customer Officer said, “The Northeast has been a market that was missing from our coverage and we think there is good fit between our offering and the consumers in Guwahati. Located at City Center Mall in Guwahati, the store is spread over a retail space of approximately 44,000 sq. ft across 3 floors and will offer the most chic and desirable fashion brands under one roof. The new Shoppers Stop store will have a wide variety of merchandise available across categories under its exclusive brands Stop, Life, Vettorio Fratini, Fratini Woman, Haute Curry and Kashish.
