Tripura reports 49 fresh COVID-19 cases, tally rises to 520

In Tripura, 49 new COVID-19 cases were reported on June 3, taking the total number of such cases in the state to 520.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb confirmed about the new cases. He informed that among the new cases, 28 returned the state on trains and nine came back by air. “Most of the new cases have travel history and contact with positive patients,” he said.

During the day, Deb visited a number of quarantine centres in the state and took stock of the situation.

Besides, four inmates of Central Jail in Bisalgarh were also reported positive.
