The happiest music festival is back! Picturesque Meghalaya will host the 2017 edition of Bacardi NH7 Weekender on October 27-28. The festival is expected to be organized at the same venue as last two years — at the RBDSA Sports Complex, Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong.
Announcing the festival dates at noon on Tuesday, Only Much Louder (OML), the organizers of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, said that the pre-sale tickets for the musical festival are available now.
The line-up for this year will be announced soon. The pre-sale season tickets, available on insider.in, are priced at Rs 999 for Under 21 and Rs 1299 for others.
Bacardi NH7 Weekender will now be held only in two places across the country with Pune being the second location. The Pune edition of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender will be held on December 8-10.
In its third edition in Shillong this year, the biggest music festival in the region has already seen headlining acts from top bands like Megadeth and Steven Wilson besides hosting a number of top musicians from the country in the last two years.
In a moving post on Facebook, COO at OML, Vijay Nair had lauded the efforts Shillong made to make the second edition of the festival in the city a grand success. “Shillong maybe a small city in size but it makes up for it in enthusiasm and heart. The whole city works together to make this festival happen. A city with just about a 1000 hotel rooms manages to accommodate 20 times the number of people by opening up their homes as guest houses and converting their fields into camping sites. Over 200 pop ups open up to make sure there’s food in the middle of the night and every person in the village next door turns into an entrepreneur over the weekend,” Nair wrote.
