Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) contributed an amount of Rs 1 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Assam as a part of its corporate social responsibility.

Managing director of the company P Padmanabhan handed over the cheque to chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the latter’s office in Janata Bhawan  on Thursday. Sonowal thanked the company for lending its hands towards state machinery in tackling the recent waves of flood and other flood induced damages in the state.

State power minister Pallab Lochan Das, chief secretary VK Pipersenia, director NRL Ravi Capoor, director (finance) at NRL SK Barua, director (technical) at NRL BJ Phukan and other senior officers were present during handing over the cheque.
