IOCL to fund toilets dining hall in Bongaigaon school – The News Mill

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has signed a MoU with the Bongaigaon district administration for construction of toilets and midday meal dining halls at Birjhora Girls High School in Bongaigaon.

According to the MoU, IOCL under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme will provide funds for construction of toilets and a dining hall for midday meal at Birjhora Girls High School, Bongaigaon.  The estimated cost of the projects is Rs 40 lakhs out of which Rs 19 lakhs is allotted for the toilet blocks while Rs 21 lakhs will be spent on the dining hall.

The MoU says that the district administration will be solely responsible for executing the project and related activities while the role of the IOCL will be limited to providing financial assistance only.

Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner Adil Khan and Indian Oil’s Assam Oil Division Manager (Law) Kamal Kumar Goswami signed the MoU on behalf of the administration and the IOCL respectively in the presence of Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury on July 18.

DC Adil Khan thanked the IOCL for coming forward for this initiative which will help realise the goals of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
